Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide quality support and assistance to residents in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care settings. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of seniors and individuals with disabilities through personalized care. This role involves working closely with healthcare teams to deliver respectful, attentive, and professional assistance tailored to each individual's needs.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
- Support with medication administration following prescribed protocols and documentation requirements
- Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors and individuals with disabilities
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Monitor residents’ health status, report changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Assist with mobility exercises or transfers using proper techniques to prevent injury
- Support residents during recreational activities and social engagement to enhance quality of life
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, working with individuals with disabilities, and medication administration is highly desirable
- Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills and patience
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently
- Certification or training in caregiving or first aid is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Must be reliable, respectful, and committed to providing high-quality care in a professional manner
