Position - Construction Labourer
Location - Guelph, ON
Pay rate - $20–$25 hourly (Depending upon experience)
Job Overview
We are currently seeking a hardworking and reliable Construction Labourer . This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while working alongside experienced tradespeople on a variety of residential renovation and construction projects.
The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with construction site setup, preparation, and cleanup
- Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials and equipment
- Support carpentry, framing, drywall installation, and finishing activities
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with flooring installation, tile work, painting, and general renovations
- Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Assist skilled tradespeople with daily construction tasks
- Perform material handling and heavy lifting as required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous construction or general labour experience is an asset
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation to various job sites is an asset
- Valid driver's license is considered an asset
