Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves operating various types of heavy machinery, performing manual labour, and supporting construction projects with safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment, and a strong work ethic to contribute to successful project completion.
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, excavators and backhoes to perform earthmoving, and site preparation tasks
- Support site development by moving materials, clearing debris, and preparing work areas for construction activities.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to construction equipment and ability to perform basic maintenance.
- Prior construction experience is preferred, especially in site development projects.
- Wage based on experience.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, in varying weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
