Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their hair styling preferences and recommend suitable treatments or styles
- Perform various hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, equipment, and workstations in compliance with health regulations
- Engage in retail sales by recommending hair care products tailored to client needs
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and encourage repeat business
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and processing payments
- Upsell additional services or products to enhance client experience and salon revenue
- Stay updated on current hair trends and techniques through ongoing education and training
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients
- Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, and styling tools
- Excellent communication skills for effective consultation and team collaboration
- Knowledge of sanitation standards to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
- Ability to upsell products and services tactfully to maximize sales opportunities
- Experience in retail sales within a salon setting is a plus
- Front desk skills including appointment management and basic administrative tasks are desirable
