We are looking for a full-time Picker / Receiver to join our team. This is a day shift position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Place finished products into packaging and secure the item using fillers, spacers and protective padding and prepare for finished goods stores
- Assemble, install, and fit parts according to plans/drawings
- Verify quality sub-assemblies and finished product to our high standards
- Ensure that all necessary parts required are available
- Grease and finish assembled parts to specifications
- Package finished product for shipping
- Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, and other shipping documents manually or by computer
- Assemble containers, pallets, and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
- Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages
- Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
- Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems
- Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
- Clean and maintain work area
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience in shipping
- Minimum high school diploma
- Team Player
- Physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with repetition
- Experience with Vertical Lift Modules would be an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, basic math skills
- Current forklift certificate – sit-down electric
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate
- Computer proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to make repetitive movements including bending or squatting
- Flexible with work hours when needed
