Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong commitment to providing exceptional service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate the POS system for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including food preparation areas and equipment.
- Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math calculations for change.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling and service.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Familiarity with POS systems, preferably Micros POS, is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
