Our client in Southeast Calgary is hiring a reliable and experienced Forklift Operators to join their warehouse team! This is a full-time opportunity for someone with sit-down counterbalance forklift experience, a positive attitude.
Location: Southeast Calgary, Alberta
Wage: $20-21/hour + Overtime
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Morning ( 5 am onwards) and Afternoon Shifts ( 1:30 pm onwards)
Industry: Warehouse / Logistics /Food Distribution
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sit-down counterbalance forklift to safely move, stack, and stage pallets of fresh fruits in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including accurate labeling, wrapping, and securing pallets to ensure safe transport.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently while maintaining product quality and safety standards.
- Perform manual lifting of 60–70 lbs regularly during packing, palletizing, and order preparation.
- Pack fresh produce according to company and customer specifications to maintain quality and compliance.
- Conduct inventory control using RF scanners to track, verify, and update shipment data accurately.
- Follow established shipping and receiving protocols to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all workplace safety procedures and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience operating a sit-down counterbalance forklift (certification/license is an asset).
- Experience using a electric power jack, forklift, or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Must have safety boots and reliable transportation to get to work.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and able to work with attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and team-player attitude.
