The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, estimating/quoting, negotiation & sales, construction and/or manufacturing management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing daily operations of the Secure-Rite Structures Division.
Responsibilities
Leadership:
- Coach team members, set performance targets, and conduct regular performance reviews
- Prepare and facilitate regular staff meetings to ensure alignment and proper team development
- Ensure all necessary government and industry compliance standards are actively met
- Provide regular updates, reports, and data analysis to senior leadership regarding departmental progress
- Preparing, managing, and forecasting the department’s budget+
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve issues and achieve broader organizational targets
Sales & Business Development:
- Maintain operational reports and assist in budgeting or cost control measures as needed
- Identify and explore new business opportunities
- Create and send quotes/estimates to potential clients
- Handle inbound inquiries regarding modified containers
- Create sales documentation required to finalize deals
Marketing:
- Work with the Marketing Department to identify and explore new business opportunities
- Attend and network at key tradeshows each year to represent our modified containers
- Local personal selling (cold calls, visiting construction sites, networking through CHBA and SICA, local high-profile events)
Skills
- Proven experience in construction or manufacturing management or leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of construction principles
- Experience in Sales / Business Development
- Demonstrated supervising experience with team management capabilities
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations diplomatically
- Effective communication skills for interviewing, training, and team coordination
- Use key performance metrics (KPIs) and operating reports to diagnose issues and make informed decisions
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
