Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Wealth Advisor to join our team. The Wealth Advisor position is a member of a dynamic team dedicated to cooperative values and client service. Reporting to the Senior Leader, Wealth, the successful candidate will play a significant role in providing financial advice and assistance to clients, while strengthening the overall presence of Nelson & District Growth Investment Management in the communities they serve. In this role, you will provide personalized financial guidance to clients, helping them achieve their financial goals through strategic planning and investment and insurance management. Responsibilities
- Meets existing and prospective client needs by actively listening, promoting, and cross-selling all wealth management products and providing referrals to cross functional business lines in the credit union
- Following up on all paperwork pertaining to opening and ongoing maintenance of client investment and insurance accounts
- Handling all aspects of incoming/outgoing client service-related issues including booking appointments, general and transactional inquiries and proactive client outreach
- Independently completes progressively complex documentation such as estate and/or trust documentation, coordinating with key stakeholders as required
- Develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to individual client needs, including investment strategies, retirement planning, and estate planning
- Pursues business development opportunities by identifying, developing, leading, and carrying out the team’s sales and marketing campaigns through phone, networking, direct mail, online, community and business-related endeavors
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships through regular communication and review meetings
- Collaborate with other financial professionals to deliver integrated wealth management solutions
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience providing holistic financial advice to clients in the areas of financial planning, investment, risk assessment and insurance options
- Holds a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and licensed to sell securities as well as life insurance within BC. (Consideration may be given to candidates in-process towards completing CFP designation and LPL designation.)
- Completion of post secondary designation preferred
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Position Requirements:
- Holds a valid driver's license and vehicle transportation
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the Kootenay region of B.C.
- Schedule flexibility to accommodate client needs
Pay: $74,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
