Job Overview
Marda Loop Doggie Daycare is looking for an experienced groomer ( at least 2 years experience in a grooming salon ) to join our grooming team! We are looking for someone who is organized, has great time management and level of professionalism.
Duties
· Groom pets according to breed standards and customer specifications, including brushing, trimming, and styling coats ( we have dog bathers so you don’t have to bath dogs ).
· Ensure the safety and comfort of pets throughout the grooming process.
· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work area.
· Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions.
· Handle pets gently and confidently, demonstrating compassion and patience during grooming sessions.
· Uphold all safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for pets, clients, and staff.
· Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move or lift large or heavy pets safely.
Requirements
· Prior experience of two years in a salon is required.
· Must possess and maintain personal grooming tools (clippers, brushes, blades, scissors etc.).
· Ability to handle pets safely and compassionately, demonstrating patience and understanding.
· Ability to identify common issues with skin/coat or overall health of the animal
· Physical ability to perform heavy lifting as needed, including lifting large or heavy pets comfortably.
· Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming standards.
Compensation:
Pay Structure: Hourly or a commission-based salary, reflecting your expertise and client satisfaction.
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
