Overview
We at SKY ROUTE are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations in North America while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, reliability, and the ability to handle freight with care.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial vehicle to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) for minimum 2 Years.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and basic automotive repair skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction is essential for success in this role.
