OVERVIEW
On behalf of our client, a family-owned and operated machining and fabrication company that specializes in manual and CNC machining, custom fabrication, mobile line boring, studding and threading, equipment repair, refurbishment, and 24/7 mobile field service, are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team.

Reporting to the Team Lead, the CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes and milling machines, interpreting engineering drawings, producing high-quality parts to specification, performing machine maintenance, and ensuring safe, efficient shop operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed and plan best sequence of operations.
· Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as turning, milling, boring, drilling and other operations.
· Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools.
· Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
· Analyzing information and finding the best solutions to problems.
· Maintain clear and honest communication.
· Keeping the work environment safe.
· Learning and applying the latest relevant knowledge to the work.
REQUIREMENTS
· Machinist Red Seal Certificate of Qualification preferred but not mandatory.
· Level 1,2 or 3 apprentices welcomed.
· 3-5 years’ experience is preferred.
· Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
· Understanding of mathematics.
· Attention to detail and self-motivation.
