About the Role Our newly opened group home in Ottawa, is committed to providing warm, person-centred residential care. We're looking for an experienced Personal Support Worker who's ready to lead — someone who can help shape how our home runs from day one.
We are seeking a part-time Group Home Manager to oversee daily operations, staff, and resident care standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Personal Support Worker (PSW) who is ready to step into a supervisory/managerial role, or who already has group home management experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the group home
- Supervise and support PSW staff and other caregivers, including scheduling and shift coverage
- Ensure resident care plans are followed and updated as needed
- Maintain compliance with provincial regulations and home policies (medication protocols, incident reporting, health & safety, etc)
- Liaise with families, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage supplies, documentation, and basic administrative tasks.
- Step in to provide direct hands-on care when needed.
- Train and onboard new staff
- Any other relevant task may be assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) with hands-on experience
- Comfort taking the lead — supervisory/managerial experience is a plus, but strong PSWs ready to grow into leadership are welcome to apply
- A dependable, detail-oriented person who takes documentation and compliance seriously.
- Someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships with residents and families.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a group home, long-term care, or supportive housing setting.
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
