We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tandoor Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using a traditional clay oven (tandoor) to prepare authentic Indian dishes such as naan, roti, kebabs, tandoori chicken, and other grilled items. You will be responsible for ensuring high food quality and consistency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide range of tandoori items according to standard recipes.
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring it is at the correct temperature.
- Marinate and season meats and vegetables in accordance with traditional and modern Indian culinary practices.
- Bake various types of bread including naan, roti, and paratha.
- Monitor food portions and presentation to meet restaurant standards.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, ensuring food safety standards are followed.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of tandoor-related ingredients.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Comply with health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Tandoor Cook or in a similar role.
- Deep knowledge of Indian cuisine and tandoor cooking techniques.
- Ability to handle high heat and work under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification (preferred but not required
