- Handle cash handling procedures with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end.
- Conduct product demos when applicable, highlighting features to enhance customer understanding and interest.
- Upsell additional products or services by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable options.
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing products on shelves and displays to attract customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple customers efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
Skills
- Multilingual abilities or bilingual proficiency to communicate effectively with diverse customer groups.
- Previous retail sales or cashier experience, especially with POS systems and cash handling.
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening.
- Basic math skills for cash transactions, balancing registers, and handling transactions confidently.
- Excellent organizational skills to keep the checkout area tidy and manage multiple tasks seamlessly.
- Customer service orientation with a positive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to perform product demos and upsell effectively to maximize sales opportunities.
