Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Farmer to join our team. As a Farmer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our farm operations. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting, operating farm machinery, and mechanical knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest crops according to seasonal schedules
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Monitor irrigation systems and ensure proper water distribution
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on farm equipment and machinery
- Monitor crop health and implement pest control measures when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of farming activities, including crop yields and expenses
- Collaborate with farm management to develop and implement farming strategies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Farmer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of agricultural practices and techniques
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of farm machinery
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and work in outdoor conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail for record keeping and crop monitoring
