SALES COORDINATOR - DOWNTOWN OTTAWA - HOTEL
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Coordinator to join our team. Overseen by the General Manager, this role is integral to driving business growth through effective sales strategies, client relationship management, and market development. The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of sales experience, thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and is passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences. As a key team member, you will collaborate across departments to ensure customer satisfaction and expand our market presence. Bilingual French/English is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts
- Manage client relationships through regular communication, negotiations, and account management activities
- Conduct business development initiatives to increase market share and promote hotel services and packages
- Lead sales presentations and property tours tailored to client needs, emphasizing the unique value of our properties
- Develop detailed rooming lists based on client requirements and coordinate with the front desk team to ensure seamless group arrivals and room assignments
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer interactions within CRM platforms
- Support marketing initiatives as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally
- Utilize data analysis to assess market trends, customer feedback, and sales performance for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of proven experience in sales, preferably in a hotel, hospitality, or tourism setting — required
- Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken) — required
- Experience working within a branded hotel environment (e.g., Marriott, Hilton, IHG) — strong asset
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field — asset
- Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to close deals and meet or exceed targets
- Account management expertise with a focus on long-term client satisfaction and retention
- Familiarity with CRM tools for managing sales pipelines and customer data
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic team environment
