The Ag Diesel Mechanic will work with a skilled and collaborative shop team to ensure the maintenance of diesel and gas equipment necessary for the successful operation of the farm. The Ag Diesel Mechanic will join a rewarding environment with opportunities to develop their professional experience as a mechanic in the agricultural industry.
Individuals with 425A agricultural equipment technician licenses and/or 310T licenses are encouraged to apply. Equivalent experience in the agricultural industry is also considered.
As part of this team, the candidate will:
- Ensure safety, productivity, and quality of service on all outstanding maintenance tasks.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Maintain the safety and organization of the shop environment; maintain the safe working condition of inventory, tools and equipment.
- Assist with diagnostic, service, and preventative maintenance on gas and diesel machinery, including trucks, trailers, buses, tractors, and agricultural implements; ensure accurate and timely repair on all equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools (e.g., Mitchell on Demand, Autel) to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Keep and maintain accurate daily log of activities.
- Communicate effectively with team mechanics to facilitate completion of required paperwork for all work done.
- Support a team-focused, respectful, and collaborative environment; contribute ideas to improve equipment uptime, shop flow, and overall efficiency.
- Additional duties as needed.
Job requirements:
- Language requirements: English only
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and in heat.
- Must be comfortable with moderate physical activity, including walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50lbs.
- Must have a valid class G license and be comfortable driving farm vehicles, including SUVs, vans, and/or pickup trucks.
- 2-3 years of experience with agricultural equipment
- 425A or 310T license (preferred)
