G&L Furniture Warehouse is opening a brand new 35,000 sq ft discount furniture warehouse located in the Prairie Business Centre, just off McGillivray BLVD, just a 2 minute drive from the Costco on McGillivray. We have a fast-paced, friendly work environment.
We are currently looking for a warehouse clerk to join our team. This is a full-time position, which will include at least one weekend day: 9:30am-6:00pm
Job Summary
The job duties will include: Unloading furniture trailers, moving furniture around the sales floor, loading and unloading customer and delivery trucks, building furniture for the sales floor, entering pickup orders into the computer system, and other general labor duties. May be required to assist customers on the sales floor at times.
Responsibilities
- Be able to lift at least 50 lbs (will be required to team-lift sofa's and appliances, and unload shipping containers filled with heavy furniture)
- Must be fluent in English, and be able to carry on a conversation with customers.
- Must be punctual.
- Must be a motivated individual, able to accomplish tasks efficiently and under limited guidance.
- Must have, at minimum, basic computer skills, as you will be required to enter orders into our POS system.
- Must be a clean and tidy person with a great attitude.
Being a handy person, that is able to fix things and work with tools, will be considered an asset.
