Sales & Marketing Manager
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager to join our growing team in Calgary. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the manufacturing environment and proven experience developing business relationships, identifying new opportunities, and selling custom and OEM manufacturing solutions.
This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who understands how manufacturing works and can confidently communicate with customers, engineers, purchasing teams, and production personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
- Promote custom and OEM manufacturing capabilities and solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and pricing in collaboration with estimating and production teams.
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Work closely with engineering, estimating, purchasing, and production teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and achievable.
- Manage sales opportunities from initial inquiry through quotation, order placement, and delivery.
- Maintain accurate customer database.
- Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry events asrequired.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for businessgrowth.
- Meet established sales and business development targets.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in a manufacturing environment.
- University diploma or degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in B2B sales and business development.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.
Preferred:
- Experience selling sheet metal products, metal fabrication, custom manufacturing, or OEM products.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications is an asset.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical manufacturing solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/business management software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally and occasionally within Alberta as required.
