Job Description:
Seeking two (2) mechanically inclined manufacturing professionals to join our production team in a hands-on role operating specialized coil processing equipment. This position is responsible for producing high-quality finished material by ensuring equipment is properly prepared, production runs efficiently, and finished products consistently meet dimensional and quality requirements.
Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment while maintaining production targets. Duties to include but not limited to:
- Prepare production equipment for scheduled manufacturing runs by completing machine setups, adjustments, and tooling installations.
- Operate automated coil processing machinery while monitoring production flow and equipment performance.
- Configure processing parameters to ensure finished products meet required dimensions and customer specifications.
- Safely transport raw materials and finished coils using overhead lifting equipment and other approved material handling devices.
- Review production schedules, work instructions, and engineering documentation to ensure accurate processing requirements are followed.
- Conduct in-process quality inspections, verifying dimensional accuracy and overall product condition throughout the manufacturing cycle.
- Perform precision measurements using a variety of inspection tools and gauges to confirm compliance with quality standards.
- Identify quality concerns or equipment issues early and make necessary adjustments to maintain product consistency.
- Carry out routine equipment care, basic maintenance tasks, and minor troubleshooting to maximize equipment reliability.
- Record production data, quality results, and operational information accurately within company systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, shipping, and production personnel to maintain an efficient workflow and minimize interruptions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all established health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience operating automated manufacturing equipment within steel processing, metal fabrication, coil processing, roll forming, slitting, or similar heavy industrial operations mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand machine operation and make operational adjustments.
- Experience interpreting production instructions, engineering drawings, or technical specifications.
- Proficiency using precision measuring equipment to verify product quality.
- Experience handling metal products or other industrial materials is considered an asset.
- Basic computer skills for recording production information and completing manufacturing documentation.
- Experience operating overhead cranes or similar lifting equipment, or the ability to obtain internal certification.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
