The Marketing Associate will assist in the implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns to promote our products/services and enhance brand awareness. The candidate will support with marketing and sales related tasks.
This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing communications and medical education.
What will you be doing?
Support products positioning and messaging to ensure consistency across all marketing materials and communications.
Collaborate with Global Marketing and sales teams to plan and execute successful product launches and promotional activities.
Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders. Gather and utilize customer feedback to improve marketing strategies.
Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyse competitor products and strategies to identify strengths, weaknesses, and market opportunities.
Assist in managing the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and monitoring expenditures.
Prepare product demo kits, sales materials, sample folders, brand promotional items, show banners and backdrop materials
Procurement of print advertising and co-ordination with social media
Creative work briefs, communication and management of projects including social media, Print Ads, Partner Websites, marketing tools
Coordinate vendors, estimate, creation and printing/production of tools
Management of projects with Marcom through to execution
Support with the creation of slide decks and internal documents
Maintenance of approved materials on Microsoft TEAMs & Allego
Create and disseminate TEAMS taxonomy
Align with product messaging, portfolio focus and profitability expectations
Regulatory approval for all materials, continual vetting, and review of materials (e.g., QA approval guidelines)
Liaise with Marcom in creation and localization, of materials including collateral, tradeshow exhibits and banners, marketing, and sales tools
Translation process for all Sports Medicine collateral, communications, and signage and material review (e.g., Transperfect)
QA approvals
Day to day administrative support of the Sports Medicine team - Provide general administrative support to the marketing and sales team as required.
Logistics negotiation and coordination (e.g., supplier contracts, hotel & meeting venues, catering, accommodation, employee & customer events, transportation, etc.)
Setting-up and managing vendors (e.g., Purchase orders, issue resolution)
Processing invoices and follow-up on payment using appropriate software (e.g., ARIBA, Esker)
Manage education and training materials; including the head office marketing room
Return of expired goods process with Master Distributor
Oversee the demo, evaluation, and product sample process
Track and manage demo inventory
Manage QA tracking and distribution, point of contact for any reviews/inspections of storage, and samples process
Coordinate, distribute and track Account Manager product requests
Sorting, disposing, shelving of returned items and shipments from Master Distributor
What will you need to be successful?
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in product management, preferably in the MedTech or Pharma industry
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 30+ pounds
Travel Requirements (outside of office): 10–20% for industry events, internal meetings and customer visits.
Salaried/hourly roles: The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 CAD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
