Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Banquet Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional banquet and event dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking expertise, and a passion for hospitality. As a key member of our culinary operations, the Banquet Chef will oversee all aspects of banquet food service, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team in a fast-paced, upscale environment dedicated to creating memorable events for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the banquet kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service during events.
- Plan, develop, and execute banquet menus in collaboration with event planners and management.
- Oversee food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with attention to presentation, flavor, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with event staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and smooth operation during events.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper techniques, safety protocols, and service standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all food industry regulations and uphold the highest standards of hospitality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant management within a hospitality or food service environment.
- Supervising experience with team management skills essential for leading a culinary team effectively.
- Strong background in food safety practices and proper handling procedures.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including menu development, food presentation, and serving techniques.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hotel banquet setting preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality food service standards and customer satisfaction.
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
