Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Laser Programmer who's versed in TUBEST NESTING SOFTWARE, to join our manufacturing team! In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise laser cutting programs that drive the production of high-quality metal components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure efficient operation of laser cutting equipment, contributing to our commitment to excellence. Duties
- Develop and modify laser cutting programs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) systems such as Fanuc controllers to ensure accurate fabrication of parts.
- Operate laser cutting machines, ensuring optimal settings for different materials and thicknesses while maintaining safety protocols.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce parts that meet quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and other related machinery.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to plan production schedules and optimize workflow efficiency.
- Conduct quality control inspections using calipers, hand tools, and other measuring devices to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Assist in assembly processes when necessary and ensure packaging of finished products adheres to company standards.
Experience
- Proven experience programming and operating laser cutting machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and software such as SolidWorks or CAD tools for designing or modifying parts.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controllers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and CNC machining operations including milling, lathe work, and press brake forming.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, welding techniques, mechanical assembly, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to use hand tools, calipers, basic math skills for measurements, and warehouse experience for material handling.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to forklift operation and manufacturing equipment is preferred but not required.
