We’re Hiring: Food Service Team Members (Cashier/Cook/Supervisor/ Catering )
The Loft, located on the second floor of the Leduc Recreation Centre (LRC), is seeking motivated individuals with a strong work ethic to join our team.

Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time & Part-Time available
- Location: The Loft at Leduc Recreation Centre (Leduc, Alberta)
- Work Setting: Fast-paced food service, short order cooking, and catering
- Transportation: Must have your own reliable transportation
- Availability: Must be available to work during our operating hours, which include weekday evenings (4:00 PM – 9:30PM), Saturdays (9:00 AM – 9: 30PM), and Sundays (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
Responsibilities
As a cross-trained Team Member, your daily duties will include a mix of both front-of-house and back-of-house tasks:
- Customer Service & Cashiering: Greet customers, take food and beverage orders accurately, operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, and handle transactions securely.
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook short-order food items quickly and accurately to order.
- Food Safety: Maintain a strict commitment to food safety, sanitation, and industry-standard preparation guidelines.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, storage spaces, and appliances. Safely handle cleaning products.
- General Upkeep: Dispose of garbage and recycling, sweep and mop floors, and wash dishes as needed.
- Inventory & Stocking: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage. Replenish condiments, front-of-house stock, and operational supplies.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn both cooking and cashier duties.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing in English).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a high-volume environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor.
- Prior experience in short order cooking or cash-handling is considered an asset, but it is not required. We will fully train the right candidates!
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00-$21.00 per hour
