Responsibilities
Tasks
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes in accordance with the Head Chef’s instructions
- Prepare and cook special meals for customers with specific dietary requirements, following the Head Chef’s instructions
- Assist in menu preparation, portion control, food cost estimation and food requirements as directed by the Head Chef
- Maintain inventory of food, kitchen supplies and equipment
- Order food, supplies and kitchen equipment as directed
- Peel, wash and prepare vegetables and fruits according to the Head Chef’s or Chef de Partie’s instructions
- Ensure proper food handling, storage and sanitation practices
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations and food preparation areas
- Clean the kitchen and work areas as required
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Follow all health and safety regulations and workplace procedures
- Perform other related kitchen duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Chef de Partie
