ABOUT OSCP
One Silicon Chip Photonics (OSCP) builds MEMS and photonic inertial measurement units (IMUs) in Montréal. Our sensors keep drones, robots, and aircraft navigating when satellite navigation (GNSS) is jammed or gone. Our customers are engineers in defense, aerospace, robotics, and maritime on three continents. The product is deep tech. The marketing is hands-on, and it's working — we need someone to run it week in, week out.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
This is one role with four fronts. You'll touch all of them — some weeks more of one than another. Everything you make goes live.
CONTENT & SOCIAL
Write and publish LinkedIn posts, news items, and updates to the guides and resources on our new website. Includes short-form video, from flight-test clips to AI-generated animations. You'll write for engineers: short, clear, technically accurate. We'll teach you the product.
EMAIL & NEWSLETTER
Run the monthly newsletter end to end — draft, build, send, report. Support outbound email campaigns and keep our contact lists clean and current.
ANALYTICS & REPORTING
Own campaign link tracking so every click is attributed, keep our web analytics honest, and build the monthly marketing dashboard the leadership team actually reads.
EVENTS & COLLATERAL
Prepare materials for trade shows in North America and Europe, turn badge scans into clean, routed leads after each show, and keep datasheets and decks current.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Publish 2–3 pieces of content a week in OSCP's voice
- Create short videos for social media, including AI-generated animations
- Run the monthly newsletter: draft, build, send, report on results
- Own our campaign tracking (UTMs) so we know what's working
- Build a monthly dashboard from web, LinkedIn, and email data
- Help run LinkedIn ad campaigns: audiences, variants, budgets
- Pitch trade press and industry publications to place OSCP content — earned or paid
- Keep the CRM and lead lists clean, and route inbound to sales fast
WHO YOU ARE
Someone who ships. You'd rather post the thing, send the campaign, and read the numbers than keep polishing a plan.
- Pursuing a degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related program — engineering students who love writing are welcome too
- A strong writer in English: short, clear, no fluff
- Comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets, and ready to learn GA4 and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- Organized and self-directed: you can own a checklist without reminders
- Able to grasp the basics of our technology and its use cases — what an IMU does, who needs one, and why. We'll teach you; you have to want to learn
- Plus: any of email tools (Brevo, Mailchimp), GA4, LinkedIn ads, Canva/Figma, video or AI animation tools, basic HTML, or a blog/newsletter of your own
WHAT WE OFFER
- Real ownership: your campaigns, posts, and dashboards go live
- $20–24/hour [PLACEHOLDER — confirm before posting]
- The full B2B tech marketing stack, learned by doing
- Direct access to the executive team — no layers
- A small team in Montréal's deep-tech scene, and a clear pathway to full-time employment
HOW TO APPLY
Send your resume, a short cover note, and links to anything you've written or shipped — posts, a blog, a campaign, a portfolio. A writing sample matters more to us than a perfect GPA. Tell us your earliest start date and weekly availability — full-time or part-time alongside classes both work. We're hiring now: applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and the role starts as soon as we find the right person.
OSCP is an equal opportunity employer.
