As an Immigration law clerk, you will be devoted to preparing and filing immigration applications, with job responsibilities as follow:
- Manage end-to-end immigration matters for multiple concurrent applicants.
- Assist in gathering documentation and the preparation, review and filing of immigration applications.
- Prepare responses to immigration governing bodies includes IRCC, HRSDC
- Process high volume of immigration applications
- Respond to guidance and direction from lawyer
- Handle complex files
- Provide guidance and support to applicants, acting as primary point of contact
- Communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing
- Keep up to date with developments in immigration practices and procedures
- Draft / prepare billing requests
- Apply knowledge strategically and drive improvements
- Take ownership for own work’s quality, compliance, and technical accuracy
- Set priorities, develop a work schedule, and closely monitor and track cases
- Manage multiple priorities in the allocated time and meet deadlines
- Execute duties with significant attention to detail and maintain high quality standards
- Handle, manipulate and analyze data and information responsibly
- Identify and propose recommendations to mitigate risks or issues that arise on active cases
- Adhere to risk management and compliance procedures
- Maintain case management database
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with others both internally and externally to achieve the goals of the company
- Consistently fulfill service commitments and put in additional time whenever required
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Canadian immigration experience is required
- Completion of Paralegal/ Law Clerk college program or Bachelors in Law
- Experience to use CLIO, PC Law or similar file management software
- Up to date knowledge of Canadian immigration practices and procedures
- Experience in preparing work permit applications, LMIA, visitor, extensions and permanent residence applications including Express Entry, PNP and Family class applications.
- Efficient in MS office/Excel
- Fluency in English language
- Ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work outside normal working hours may be required based on volume of work

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
