Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Technician to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, landscaping, and outdoor construction. This role involves operating various tools and equipment to ensure the aesthetic appeal and health of landscapes, while adhering to safety standards and best practices. Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching to maintain client properties.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for site preparation and landscaping projects.
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes.
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, digging, and other gardening activities.
- Conduct routine inspections of landscapes to identify issues related to pests, disease, or plant health.
- Assist with construction projects such as retaining walls, patios, or walkways using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Maintain equipment through regular cleaning and mechanical checks to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries on-site.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining landscape equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction work.
- Knowledge of horticultural practices including planting, pruning, and pest management.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
