We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Driver to operate commercial vehicles across long distances. canada to usa run The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks and freight vehicles over long distances, following all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness
- Operate heavy equipment responsibly when required for loading or unloading freight
- Adhere to company policies regarding hours of service, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating freight trucks over long distances with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Proficiency in forklift operation for loading and unloading cargo
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair skills is a plus
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, clients, and team members
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs to ensure operational readiness
