Responsibilities
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring freshness and presentation.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer orders efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and food preparation areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist customers with menu selections, upselling additional items to enhance their experience.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met at all times. Food Handling Permit required.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, serving, or related roles within the food industry or restaurant environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for quick and accurate transactions.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices and sanitation standards.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order calculations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen or food service setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in upselling menu items to increase sales opportunities.
