Cannabis Retail Team-Lead/Key Holder- Hamilton, Ontario
We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in retail, fast food, or a similar customer-focused environment to take on a leadership role at our locations. Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to support customer satisfaction and retention
- Assist with inventory control, stocking, and organization under management direction
- Open and close the store in accordance with company procedures
- Address customer questions, concerns, and product inquiries in a professional manner
- Manage sales transactions, cash handling, and daily financial activities
- Support profitability goals and help the team achieve sales targets
- Coach, guide, and support team members in carrying out daily responsibilities
- Assist with staff training, supervision, and overall team development
- Provide back-of-house support, including inventory management and end-of-day reporting procedures
- Maintain organized storage areas and follow a first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory system to ensure proper product rotation
- Ensure all operations comply with cannabis regulations and company policies
- Adhere to security and safety procedures to prevent non-compliance, incidents, or illicit activities
- Take appropriate measures to help prevent cannabis diversion to the illicit market and underage individuals
- Educate customers on cannabis products and related topics to help them make informed purchasing decisions
- Maintain store operations, sales floor, storage areas, exterior spaces, and other facilities according to company standards and procedures
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and meets strict sanitary standards
- Understand customer demand and community preferences to support top-selling product selections
- Process cash, debit, credit, and other electronic transactions accurately and securely
- Follow all security measures to safeguard merchandise and store assets
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
·Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in cannabis retail is considered an asset
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant retail experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 19 years of age at the time of hire
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems
- Experience with inventory management and expense control preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Motivated and passionate about building a career in the cannabis industry
- Valid CannSell certification required
- Positive, energetic, and customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise, odors, and repetitive tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Must successfully complete a background security check

Working Hours: Hourly position - shift work – full time
