Position Overview
Reporting to the business owner(s), the Associate Investment Advisor is focused on providing our clients with financial planning and investment management advice.
Core Responsibilities
- Providing first-class financial planning and strategic wealth management services to our clients.
- Driving growth with existing clients and helping the practice grow by assisting the Advisors in attracting new clients.
- Overseeing investment portfolio reviews along with insurance needs analysis.
- Managing day-to-day client requests and partnering with the client services team to execute and deliver on our clients' needs.
- Leading the annual financial planning process, including IPS and IPQ meetings.
- Delivering a high level of end-to-end personalized client service with rapid resolution of queries.
- Continuously engaging in ongoing learning and development to improve skills and knowledge.

Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of five years' related work experience, preferably in a financial planning firm with exposure to both insurance and investment planning.
- Completion of, or progress toward, the following is considered an asset: full IIROC licensing; CFP®, QAFP®, or PFP®; CIM or CFA Level 1; CSC.
- Experience with financial planning systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong Excel knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with numbers, with an analytical mindset.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills to build trust with clients and colleagues.
- Responds well in an ever-changing work environment.
Compensation
A strong compensation package is available for the right person, starting at $75,000, plus bonus based on achieving performance goals and a generous health & benefits plan.
