We are a small business, located in a small town, looking to fill a position for Shoemaker/Pedorthic Technician/Shoe Repair crafter. We are looking for a candidate to assist with our shoe manufacturing and repair who is detail oriented, artistic, personable, and willing to assist in other roles as required. We manufacture custom shoes, orthotics, and offer shoe repairs/modifications. We handle everything from the normal to quite unique with design and manufacturing challenges arising from each client's desires and needs. We have been around for over 40 years and our focus is on quality, fit, and comfort in providing footwear solutions for those we service.

Remuneration negotiable depending on candidate skill sets.
Job Summary/Responsibilities
- Manufacturing orthotics and custom footwear, as required
- Shoe repair and modification services
- Gather and record client information for manufacturing footwear and/or orthotics
- Fit and adjust products/fit models/etc. on the client & adjust as needed for comfort & performance.
- Reverse engineer footwear/adjustments to fit the adjusted client's needs.
- Cut, prepare & assemble materials to make a finished shoe product.
- Replace soles and heels
- General stitching and patching
- Maintain clean and organized shop environment
- Work in collaborative environment to contribute to success of the company
- Assist in manufacture/assembly of orthotics and orthopedic assistive devices
Beneficial Education, Skills and Qualifications
- Biomechanical knowledge and understanding
- Computer Proficiency
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills in english
- Customer service/client interaction
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
