At Sysco, the official job title is Order Selector, but we like to think of our warehouse team as Industrial Athletes. This role is extremely physical and fast-paced, requiring strength, endurance, and determination. While professional athletes may perform at peak intensity for a few hours, our Industrial Athletes maintain that same level of effort throughout an entire shift.
As a Part-Time Night Warehouse Order Selector, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive the products they need accurately and on time. You will select, build, and prepare customer orders in a dynamic warehouse environment while working safely and efficiently as part of a high-performing team.
Schedule
Choose from one of the following part-time night shift schedules:
- Sunday & Thursday Night
- Friday & Sunday Night
Shift start times typically range between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., with work extending into the early morning hours.
Part-time associates are generally scheduled for up to 40 hours per week. During slower business periods, weekly hours may be reduced to approximately 30 hours per week.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Order Selector, you can expect a physically demanding and rewarding work environment. On an average shift, you may:
- Accurately assemble customer orders using an electronic warehouse management system and electric pallet jack.
- Handle up to 1,500 cases per shift, with cases averaging 30 pounds and weighing up to 72 pounds.
- Label products, build pallets, and wrap orders for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including electric pallet jacks.
- Walk more than 10 kilometres per shift while standing, bending, stretching, lifting, and reaching throughout the workday.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work practices.
- Comply with all requirements of Sysco's Food Safety Program and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Management.

- Strong endurance for continuous standing, walking, bending, stretching, and lifting.
- The ability to work for extended periods in refrigerated and freezer environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety.
- A reliable work ethic and positive team-oriented attitude.
- The ability to work independently and stay motivated throughout the shift.
- Previous warehouse experience is considered an asset but is not required.
