Onsite: Full-time in-office and on-site at locations throughout the GTA
Compensation: $105,000 - $115,000 based on skills and experience, plus a performance-based bonus

About the Role:
Fitzrovia is seeking a Manager, Facilities Management & Technical Services, to lead the strategic and operational efficiency of our expanding portfolio. This role will oversee the development and implementation of portfolio-wide facilities management strategies, policies, and programs. The Senior Manager will be responsible for ensuring the portfolio operates at the highest levels of safety, sustainability, and efficiency while delivering exceptional service to residents and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, extensive expertise in facilities management, and a proven ability to manage large-scale operations across diverse assets. They will be involved in mentoring, coordinating, executing projects and implementing operational practices will be a key aspect of this position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of a portfolio-wide facilities management strategy, focusing on operational excellence, energy efficiency, and sustainability to ensure long-term success.
- Establish and maintain robust preventative maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, industry standards, and quality benchmarks.
- Manage multi-million-dollar operating and capital budgets, ensuring expenditures align with organizational objectives and providing accurate financial reporting to senior leadership.
- Drive modernization efforts across the portfolio by implementing energy-efficient systems and leveraging technology to enhance building performance and reduce operational costs.
- Negotiate and manage contracts and service agreements, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality service delivery while adhering to procurement policies and regulations.
- Lead the development and implementation of a 10-year capital plan to conserve portfolio infrastructure, address long-term needs, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the portfolio complies with all relevant regulations, including the Ontario Building Code, Fire Code, Electrical Code, and Occupational Health and Safety Act, fostering a culture of safety.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing facilities management team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and innovation while providing training and development opportunities to support career growth.
- Partner with the Manager of Capital Projects to plan and execute large-scale renovation and retrofit projects, minimizing disruptions to residents and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Utilize data analytics and reporting to monitor portfolio performance, identify areas for improvement, and support informed decision-making at all organizational levels.
- Act as a liaison between facilities management, residents, and senior leadership, ensuring transparent communication and alignment of objectives across all stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to oversee maintenance and project progress, providing guidance and addressing concerns to ensure compliance with standards.
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes, streamline service delivery, and implement innovative solutions to improve overall efficiency and resident satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Completion of post-secondary education in business administration or related discipline required.
- Advanced certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) are considered an asset.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in facilities management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use portfolios.
- Proven track record in leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing operational budgets exceeding $5 million.
- Strong expertise in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and building automation systems, with a demonstrated ability to drive efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, including the Ontario Building Code, Fire Code, Electrical Code, and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic operational plans, capital planning, and risk management strategies.
- Strong project management skills, with experience delivering complex capital projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire teams and build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in facilities management software and data-driven decision-making.
- A commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in customer service.
- Considerable experience with procurement and contract management.
- Site travel will be required to attend meetings, complete site inspections, asses progress, and manage projects, teams and activities.
