PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
REPORTING TO THE QUALITY MANAGER, THE INCUMBENT OVERSEES AND COORDINATES ALL NCR ACTIVITIES WHILE DELIVERING TECHNICAL QUALITY CONTROL SUPPORT TO PRODUCTION AND INSPECTION TEAMS, ENSURING FULL COMPLIANCE WITH AS9100D, ISO 9001, AND CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS, AND PARTNERING CLOSELY WITH OPERATIONS TO DRIVE EFFECTIVE, SPECIFICATION-ALIGNED DECISION-MAKING
RESPONSIBILITIES:
NCR & QUALITY SYSTEM MANAGEMENT
· COORDINATE AND MANAGE ALL NCRS (INTERNAL, CUSTOMER, SUPPLIER) FROM INITIATION TO CLOSURE
· ENSURE TIMELY CONTAINMENT, ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS, CORRECTIVE ACTION, AND PROPER DOCUMENTATION
· TAKE QUALITY DECISIONS ON NONCONFORMING PRODUCTS THROUGH NCR / DMR DISPOSITION
· MAINTAIN NCR LOG AND PROVIDE STATUS UPDATES TO MANAGEMENT
· MONITOR NCR TRENDS AND ESCALATE RECURRING ISSUES
· PRODUCE
· MONTHLY DASHBOARDS ON QUALITY ISSUES
QUALITY CONTROL & TECHNICAL SUPPORT
· PROVIDE TECHNICAL SUPPORT IN QUALITY CONTROL ACCORDING TO CUSTOMER SPECIFICATIONS
· SUPPORT INSPECTION AND PRODUCTION TEAMS IN QUALITY-RELATED DECISION MAKING
· SUPPORT PRODUCTION IN CASES OF UNCERTAINTY REGARDING PRODUCT QUALITY
· MANAGE ISSUES DETECTED DURING INSPECTION AND COORDINATE WITH CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS TO RESOLVE THEM
· DOCUMENT THE STATUS OF QUARANTINED MATERIAL AS ACCURATELY AS POSSIBLE
· SUPPORT DEVIATION SUBMISSIONS AND CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION
· FOLLOW UP WITH CLIENTS REGARDING SUBMITTED DEVIATIONS AND SUPPORT ACCEPTANCE DECISIONS
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & COMPLIANCE
· FOLLOW UP WITH SUPPLIERS ON CORRECTIVE ACTIONS AND VERIFY EFFECTIVENESS
· ENSURE REGULAR FOLLOW-UP WITH UNDERPERFORMING SUPPLIERS AND EVALUATE THE ROBUSTNESS OF THEIR CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
· CHALLENGE CUSTOMERS ON DEVIATION ACCEPTANCE WITH STRONG TECHNICAL JUSTIFICATION
· IDENTIFY THE CAUSES OF QUALITY PROBLEMS, PROVIDE SOLUTIONS TO MINIMIZE RECURRENCE, AND FOLLOW UP ON CORRECTIVE AND IMPROVEMENT ACTIONS
· DOCUMENT BUSINESS PROCESSES, PROCEDURES, FORMS, AND WORK INSTRUCTIONS
· ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH AS9100, ISO9001 AND CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS
· SUPPORT EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL AUDITS RELATED TO QUALITY SYSTEM COMPLIANCE
· PROVIDE TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO INSPECTION TEAMS REGARDING INSPECTION METHODOLOGY
· ENSURE KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER AND DELIVER TRAINING SESSIONS WHEN REQUIRED
· SUPPORT PRODUCTION TEAMS AND MACHINISTS ON QUALITY REQUIREMENTS
· SUPPORT OTHER QUALITY-RELATED ACTIVITIES AS REQUIRED
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· College diploma or Bachelor in aerospace, mechanical or industrial engineering
· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in aerospace or manufacturing quality environment as Quality control specialist
TECHNICAL SKILLS
· Knowledge of Nonconformance Report (NCR) processes and procedures
· Familiarity with Quality Management System (QMS) such as AS9100 or ISO 9001
· Root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Why, 8D)
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and quality documentation systems
· Data tracking, reporting, and trend analysis skills
· Use of inspection equipment and quality tools
· Unerstanding of supplier quality and corrective action processes
