Johnson Service Group is looking for an
Administrative Assistant in our Burlington, Ontario branch. This position is an integral part to our Canadian Accounting Management team. As a member of the back-office team, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for onboarding and processing new hires, reviewing contracts, and supporting our Burlington and Calgary branches.
The salary range for our position is $50-60K.
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a results-oriented approach
- Coordinate new hire start packages by collecting, reviewing, and verifying onboarding documentation
- Prepare and process new contract and release order documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely completion while partnering with internal teams
- Coordinate pre-employment drug screenings by initiating requests, monitoring completion, and following up as needed.
- Maintain and update employee, client, and job records across internal systems, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
- Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Work independently as well as collaboratively with the team
- Adapt to changing priorities and support a dynamic work environment
- Utilize Microsoft Office, Microsoft GP, DocuSign, and other business applications to complete daily tasks
Administrative Assistant Requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and investigative skills
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with DocuSign is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft GP is a plus
- Ability to quickly learn new software and applications
- Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to embrace change with a positive attitude
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
