Are you ready to bring your communication skills and relationship-building expertise to a workplace that’s redefining the automotive service experience? Guardian Automotive is on the hunt for a dynamic Service Advisor to join our growing team in West Edmonton. If you thrive under pressure, keep calm when chaos hits, and know how to turn customer interactions into genuine connections, let’s talk!
A Little About Us:
Hey there, I’m Adam, the owner of Guardian Automotive. We’re not your average shop. We lean into what makes us unique. From our inviting, comfortable waiting room - complete with comfy seating, fireplaces, a free snack station, bean-to-cup coffee, and even a growing arcade - to our drama-free, down-to-earth team, we’ve created a space where people genuinely enjoy spending time. Whether it’s our customers or our crew, we believe everyone should feel welcome, relaxed, and supported the moment they walk through our doors.
Since opening in 2019, we’ve grown through grit, teamwork, and an unshakable belief in the power of relationships. We’re not just about fixing cars; we’re about educating, building trust, and delivering a customer experience that people actually enjoy interacting with. That’s why we’ve got some of the best Google reviews in the business, don’t just take my word for it, check them out yourself. It's also why we can't seem to stop growing.
We’re now on our fourth expansion and always looking toward the future without sacrificing the foundation that got us here. Sustainable growth isn’t just what we do - it’s who we are. And to keep thriving, we need talented people who are ready to roll up their sleeves, bring their A-game, and grow with us. This expansion will bring our location to 14 automotive hoists and 16,000 sq ft of total indoor footprint. We're levelling up from "small but mighty" to just plain mighty, and we're ready for Edmonton to know it and share in our success. You can help spread the word.
Your Role as a Service Advisor:
- Customer Relationship Champion: Build lasting relationships with our customers by truly understanding their needs, explaining recommended services in a clear and relatable way, and ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.
- Follow-Up Phenom: You know the steps that follow any interaction are just as important to phenomenal service. They might love you on the phone or in the waiting room but are you going to carry this concern the distance to a complete solution? Not everyone can.
- Chaos Coordinator: Keep calm under pressure, juggle multiple tasks with ease, and transform the unpredictable nature of an automotive shop into a smooth, efficient process.
- Deal Closer: Turn recommendations into approvals by communicating the value of our services with confidence, clarity, and care. You know how to make the case without being pushy and employing pressure tactics because you believe in what we do.
- Collaborator Extraordinaire: Work closely with our technicians, parts team, and leadership to ensure every job flows seamlessly from start to finish. We succeed as a team, and your role is pivotal in keeping the gears turning.
- Detail-Obsessed Organizer: Manage repair orders, keep customer records updated, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
What We’re Looking For:
- Communication Savant: You’ve got a way with words, both spoken and written, and can adapt your style to connect with anyone from customers to teammates.
- Relationship Builder: People trust you because you listen, empathize, and always aim for win-win outcomes.
- Problem Solver: When challenges arise, you tackle them head-on with creativity and resourcefulness. You’re in it to win it.
- Industry Know-How: Experience in the automotive world is a big plus, but if you’ve got customer service chops and a hunger to learn, we’re all ears.
- Calm Under Pressure: You thrive in fast-paced environments and keep things moving smoothly even when the pressure’s on and delivering bad news may be the soup of the day.
What You’ll Get:
- Competitive Payscaling: We offer a great pay plan that focuses on stability and sustainability, with a constant eye toward team & business growth. Our salary structure brings peace of mind in the household. That pesky mortgage is always handled, regardless of business seasonality. Profit based commission rewards your efforts and your support of others for mutual success, without being cutthroat and encouraging the negative sales pressures this industry can be prone to.
- Work-Life Balance: No weekends here! Enjoy your downtime with family, friends, or however you unwind.
- Comprehensive Perks: Paid vacation, health benefits, personal use of shop equipment, and sweet discounts on parts and services.
- A Team That Feels Like Family: Regularly development round table brainstorming sessions (catered, of course!) to ensure your voice is heard, a drama-free workplace, and a culture that genuinely supports each other. We're always looking for new ideas to make Guardian an even better place to work - whether it's more staff events, perks, or ways to add value for our team. Got ideas? We’re all ears!
- Ongoing Growth & Development: We’re all about leveling up. Once settled into our environment and way of doing business, you’ll have access to a curated reading list and lending library, hands-on workshops, top-tier sales training, and elite coaching programs to sharpen your skills. Plus, we invest in in-person workshops and conferences. We want you to be the best you can be, it helps us both.
