Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and contribute to a variety of outdoor construction and landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in landscape construction, restoration, and related trades, supporting the development of a diverse skill set in the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Experience installing interlock and retaining walls is an asset.
- Experience with plants, trees and garden work is an asset
- .Experience with concrete saws, leaf blowers, drills, and saws is an asset.
- Experience with skidsteers, excavators, dump trucks and trailers is an asset.
- Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive to the shop or site depending on the day's instructions.
- Must have a proficient grasp of the English language.
- Follow safety protocols at all times during project execution
Experience
- Prior experience in landscaping is preferred
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, concrete techniques, flooring installation, tile laying, and caulking is advantageous
- Experience operating heavy equipment or machinery relevant to landscape or construction projects is desirable
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand construction plans enhances job performance
