Skilled Labourer – Underground Utility & Fibre Optic Construction
About Us Paulson Development Ltd. is an underground utility construction company specializing in horizontal directional drilling, fibre optic installation, and underground infrastructure. We're growing, and we're looking for hard-working Skilled Labourers to join our crew.
Room to Grow We're actively looking for people who want to learn and move up into heavy equipment roles: HDD drilling, locating, and other specialized positions on the crew.
What You'll Do
- Lift and move heavy equipment and construction materials around the site
- Operate power tools and other machinery
- Assist with the installation and termination of fibre optic cables
- Load, unload, and organize materials
- Execute traffic control plans and direct traffic when needed
- Keep the work site clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Follow and promote the company's safety program
- Take on additional duties as the job requires
What You Bring
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and team-first attitude
- Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs throughout the day
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in underground utility construction or fibre optic installation
- Current safety tickets: CSTS 2020, First Aid, Ground Disturbance (company will provide any additional required safety training before start)
- Interest in cross-training on heavy equipment
