We are seeking a reliable and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team for an upcoming telecom ducting project at the Dundurn Army Base. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety‑focused, and confident operating a variety of machinery to support day‑to‑day site operations. Hourly wage will be determined based on experience. You will be expected to work approximately 50 hours per week.
What You’ll Do
- Operate Heavy Equipment — Safely operate excavators, loaders, skid steers, and other machinery as required.
- Perform Site Excavation — Complete digging, grading, and earth‑moving tasks according to project specifications.
- Follow Safety Procedures — Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all company and regulatory safety standards.
- Conduct Equipment Inspections — Perform daily checks, report issues, and keep equipment in good working condition.
- Support General Construction Tasks — Assist the crew with material handling, site prep, and other duties as needed.
What You Bring
- Experience Operating Machinery — 1–3 years of experience in construction or related work.
- Valid Driver’s Licence and ability to commute to and from Dundurn Army Base each day
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50.0 per week
