Junior Systems Developer
As a Junior Systems Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of data integration and enterprise applications, with a focus on Microsoft Azure technologies. Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners, you'll help create reliable, innovative solutions that improve how data is managed and shared across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career developer who is passionate about technology, data, continuous learning, and delivering business value through modern digital solutions. This is a term position with a duration of three (3) months.
What You'll Do:

Design, develop, test, and implement applications and integration solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies.

Collaborate with developers, systems analysts, service providers, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.

Analyze existing systems, data flows, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
-
Enhance and support enterprise applications to meet evolving business requirements.
-
Create and execute test plans, troubleshoot issues, and support quality assurance activities.
-
Develop technical documentation and user guides for new and existing systems.
-
Provide second- and third-level technical support for business applications and data solutions.
-
Develop scripts and automation solutions that improve application functionality and performance.
-
Monitor, test, and optimize software performance and reliability.

Work with project teams and stakeholders to resolve integration challenges and achieve project objectives.

Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements that support HPA's digital transformation goals.
What You Bring:
-
Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Development, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
-
One to three years of experience in software development, systems development, data integration, application support, or a similar technical role; recent graduates with relevant co-op, internship, or project experience are encouraged to apply.

Knowledge of programming and software development best practices.

Experience or exposure to Microsoft Azure, cloud-based applications, or data integration platforms.

Familiarity with database development, SQL, application testing, scripting, and technical documentation.

Exposure to Python, data analytics concepts, Apache Spark, or modern data architecture is considered an asset.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A collaborative approach and commitment to teamwork, continuous improvement, and learning.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
