Overview
We are urgently hiring a skilled CNC Machine Milling/Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating and programming CNC milling machines and lathes to produce precision components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with Fanuc controls, and experience in manufacturing environments. Candidates with expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and CAD software such as SolidWorks are highly preferred. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling machines and lathes, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to produce accurate parts.
- Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls and modify programs as needed for production runs.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Read and interpret technical documentation including blueprints and machining instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members on lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize workflow.
- Assist with assembly, welding, or use of hand tools and power tools when necessary for project completion.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment as required for loading/unloading materials.
Skills
- Proven experience with CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, especially Fanuc controls.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to machining processes and equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in CNC programming, including editing and troubleshooting programs.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or other design tools; ability to read blueprints accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and setting up machines accurately.
- Experience with machining tools like calipers, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar material handling machinery safely is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control standards. This position is vital for maintaining high standards of precision manufacturing in a fast-paced environment requiring technical expertise and safety consciousness.
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
