Job Summary
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Ballet, Chinese Dance, and Jazz Funk Instructors to join our vibrant dance education team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in dance instruction, experience working with children, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. Duties
- Teach ballet, Chinese dance, or jazz funk classes tailored to various skill levels and age groups
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate technical skills, choreography, and performance techniques
- Create a supportive and motivating classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills
- Prepare students for performances or recitals as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean studio environment in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to organize special events or workshops
- Engage with parents or guardians regarding student progress and upcoming performances
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching ballet, Chinese dance, or jazz funk, preferably with children or early childhood education background
- Strong tutoring and classroom management skills
- Ability to work effectively with children, fostering a positive and encouraging environment
- Knowledge of dance techniques, choreography, and performance preparation
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate students of diverse ages and backgrounds
- Experience working in educational settings such as classrooms or dance studios is preferred
- Creative mindset with the ability to design engaging lesson plans
- Additional skills such as cooking are a plus but not required; the primary focus is on dance instruction and working with children.
Pay: $40.00-$52.00 per hour
