Yali Electric LTD is excited to announce that we are currently looking for a professional, well-rounded Part-Time 309A Licensed Electrician to join our successful, highly organized organization. A Day in the Life (Key Responsibilities)
As a Service Electrician, you will handle a diverse mix of mostly retail, commercial, and residential service calls. Your daily tasks will include:
- On-the-Spot Troubleshooting: Think critically and troubleshoot electrical issues on the spot to provide fast, reliable solutions.
- Assessments & Repairs: Attend retail, commercial, and residential properties to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of electrical issues.
- System Diagnostics: Diagnose electrical issues in HVAC units, lighting systems, power distribution systems, fire alarms, and generators.
- Technical Application: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and the Ontario Electrical Code (OEC) to install panels, circuits, wire sizing, conduits, and 3-phase systems.
- Emergency Response: Promptly respond to emergency service calls when scheduled.
- Digital Documentation: Use mobile apps and company systems to accurately document work with photos, notes, videos, and precise records.
- Client & Team Communication: Communicate status updates clearly, professionally, and politely with tenants, property owners, and team members.
Job Requirements
We are seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and customer-service-oriented professional who meets the following criteria:
- Licensing: Valid Ontario 309A Electrical Journeyperson License (Required).
- Language Proficiency: Must be fully fluent in English (both verbal and written communication).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of industry experience, with a strong background in retail and commercial service work.
- Tools & Transport: Must own a reliable vehicle and your own hand tools to travel to various job sites across the GTA.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code (OEC) and excellent blueprint reading skills.
- Driver's License: Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean driving record and a clean criminal background check.
- Safety Tickets: Valid certifications (Working at Heights, Aerial Work Platform (AWP), WHMIS, Standard First Aid).
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using mobile applications for scheduling and daily job updates.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible 5-day schedule across weekdays and weekends depending on project needs.
