Space Ceiling is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stretch Ceiling Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2–3 years of stretch ceiling installation experience and be comfortable working in residential, commercial, and custom projects. This role involves installing stretch ceiling systems, LED lighting integrations, acoustic ceiling products, and specialty ceiling features while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install PVC and fabric stretch ceiling systems according to project specifications and company standards.
- Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and installation plans.
- Measure, prepare, and install perimeter profiles and support systems.
- Install ceiling penetrations, including pot lights, speakers, HVAC vents, sprinklers, and access panels.
- Assist with installation of LED lighting systems, perimeter lighting, backlit ceilings, and specialty lighting features.
- Install acoustic ceiling and wall systems when required.
- Safely operate ladders, scaffolding, and installation equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site throughout installation.
- Communicate professionally with clients, project managers, designers, and contractors.
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and provide practical solutions on site.
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transportation of materials.
- Complete projects efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of stretch ceiling installation experience.
- Experience with PVC and fabric stretch ceiling systems.
- Strong understanding of construction practices and finish carpentry.
- Ability to read plans and installation drawings.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, lasers, and measuring equipment.
- Ability to work at heights using ladders and scaffolding.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift and carry installation materials and equipment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with LED lighting installations.
- Experience with acoustic ceiling or wall systems.
- Experience in residential renovation and commercial construction environments.
- First Aid, Fall Protection, Lift Equipment, or other construction safety certifications.
