DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the chassis in Intermodal rail yards.
- Government regulated safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance repairs.
- Complete handwritten repair orders.
- Operate heavy duty service vehicle.
- Basic welding repairs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong knowledge of air brakes and ABS.
- Strong knowledge of electric and electronic troubleshooting.
- Proof of provincial heavy equipment mechanic license.
- Ability to use basic hand tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance.
- Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.
