Wingstop Canada
Regional Manager
Location: Ontario (Must be comfortable travelling 3+ hour distances)
Position Type: Full-Time
Reports To: VP Operations
Build the leaders who run great restaurants.
Wingstop Canada is in a period of serious growth, and the Regional Manager is one of the most important roles in making that growth real. This is not a role about running stores. It’s about building the General Managers who run them — developing strong, accountable store leaders, holding a consistent standard across every location, and owning the performance of an entire region through the people you develop.
We’re looking for a leader who understands that strong results come from strong leadership, and who measures their own success by the strength of the bench behind them. If you think at the regional level, lead through others, and take ownership of both performance and people in equal measure, this is a platform built for you.
What You’ll Own
- Build High-Performing General Managers. This is the heart of the role. You’ll coach GMs through structured, development-focused conversations, give clear and timely feedback, identify capability gaps early, and prepare your strongest leaders for what’s next. Building leadership capability — not just compliance — is how you’ll be measured.
- Own a Deep, Healthy Talent Pipeline. You’ll know your region, your leaders, and your bench with precision. That means current visibility into every GM’s strengths and development needs, clear sightlines to Assistant Manager and Shift Lead readiness, and an accurate, living succession plan for every store. Vague talent assessments are a failure of this role; candid, accurate ones are the standard.
- Drive Operational Excellence Across the Region. Through regular, structured store visits — full walks, not drive-bys — you’ll assess operational performance, coach on the gaps rather than just documenting them, and ensure every store meets Wingstop’s non-negotiable brand and food-safety standards, every shift.
- Deliver Business Performance. You’ll own your region’s numbers. That means reviewing performance data regularly, spotting trends before they escalate, holding GMs accountable with clarity and directness, and building active improvement plans for stores that aren’t where they need to be. Leadership development and business performance are equally non-negotiable — neither is sacrificed for the other.
- Protect and Reinforce Culture. You’ll model the leadership behaviours the organization holds every GM to, keep teams positive and stable, and address brand cultural misalignment directly and early.
- Execute the Playbook. You’ll implement the Wingstop Canada leadership model with discipline and consistency, applying the same standards, scorecards, and expectations across every store — and reinforcing them actively, not just on visit days.
What We’re Looking For
A multi-unit restaurant leader with a genuine track record of developing managers — someone who has built leaders, not just managed locations. Specifically:
- Multi-unit restaurant leadership experience is required, with demonstrated success leading and developing a team of managers.
- Strong coaching, accountability, and operational capability — you hold a high bar, address issues quickly and respectfully, and don’t defer hard conversations.
- A people-first, results-serious mindset — you understand that the bench you build is the business you build.
- High-volume restaurant experience is strongly preferred, particularly a franchisee-side or field-operations background (e.g., a District or Area Manager role with a high-volume QSR brand), including both front-of-house and back-of-house responsibilities. Experience scaling operations in a high-growth environment is a significant asset.
This is a builder’s role. We’re looking for someone who has led without relying on heavy corporate infrastructure — who can set the standard, develop the people, and make a region run well because the leaders in it are strong.
What’s In It For You?
- Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
- A significant leadership platform with the ability to grow into other operations leadership roles.
- The opportunity to shape a growing national brand at exactly the moment that work matters most.
- We believe great leaders don't just run the business—they develop people every day, even when things are busy.
If you’re ready to build leaders, own a region, and grow with a brand that’s scaling fast, we want to hear from you.
