Join our client's dynamic manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Technician for the Ink Department, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the production of high-quality printing inks. This energetic position involves assisting with the preparation, handling, and maintenance of ink solvents used in various printing processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with the safe handling, mixing, and transfer of ink solvents in accordance with safety protocols and quality standards
- Support the setup and breakdown of equipment used in ink preparation, including flexo presses, screen printing machines, and machining tools
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and solvent containers to identify leaks or issues requiring maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with team members on packaging tasks, ensuring inks are properly filled, labeled, and stored for shipment or further processing
- Assist in prepress activities by preparing materials for printing operations and troubleshooting minor equipment issues
Requirements:
- 2-4 years experience in as a Manufacturing Technician/ Production Operator
- Experience to a related field requiring; color matching is an asset
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of machinery used in printing and packaging industries is an asset
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as flexo press operation, screen printing, or machining is a plus
- Ability to follow detailed safety instructions and handle chemicals responsibly
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively within a fast-paced production environment
Shift: Monday to Thursday from 7:00AM-4:30PM & Friday 7:00AM-1:00PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.26 per hour
